Everything has its principle to form it. Such as, human, they have their own moral value, their own principle in daily life that they will not forget. While when creating animation have it too. Firstly, what is animation? Animation is a combination of creative shape and movement that can form an expression such as run faster, walk slowly, sleeping and eating. Beside shape and movement, it also has others principle such as timing, faster or slow action move, the arcs and so on. Therefore, there is a lot of creation of animation that they can use to create in a story, an advertisement via using their imagination of an object or even shape. But some of the person who create the animation has failed to gain audience attention and it will let audience feel boring.
While doing this project, I have learned a lot about the animation. Animations have a lot of different type such as 2D, 3D, 5D or even 6D. In creating a good or successful animation, there are the requirements that we need to fulfil it while creating so that audiences will not feel that is a boring animation. Why will the animation does not attract to people? It is because the creator does not fulfil the principle of animation. In principle of animation, there are 12 principles which are squash & stretch, anticipation, staging, straight ahead & pose-to-pose animation, follow through and overlapping action, slow-out & slow-in, arcs, secondary action, timing, exaggeration, solid drawing and appeal. To create an animation, firstly creator has to decide the size of it either wish to squash or stretch it. Then, need to anticipation about what is the character of the animation, followed by stage the animation. After both of this done, creator need to have an idea that how to make it have freshness and attention from audiences by using straight ahead and pose to pose principle. Some of the animation could have some special personality or look that can follow through or overlapping it. When actions start, the creator need to draw more the pose that need to be perform, so the action that the creator need to adjust it either he/she want it slow-out or in. Arcs also play an important part that when the creator draw an object, the arc must be looks naturally. In additional, in any story also need a secondary character. In animation also need a secondary action that to enrich the main action. Another important part is the timing. An animation move very quickly in a very short timing, audience could not see anything or even understanding the motion of it. Exaggeration is a part that a creator has to be concern on it. Because if an animation that creator wish whole of the story being funny, the action must be very exaggerate, if an animation is showing a sad expression, it has to be a very gentle action. In old traditional drawing animation, it just use a pencil to sketch the animation on a paper. Nowadays, those drawing already become solid. It add more dimensions to make it more real and natural. Lastly, animations have to be real to appeal. It can looks like a real person of this solid drawing art. Overall, I feel that the timing, slow-out & slow-in, arcs, solid drawing and appeal are the most important characters while creating an animation. If without the real solid drawing, the animation will not looks naturally, without timing audience could not understand what is it all about. A successful animation, must gain the audience attention and must let the audience unforgettable and understand the expression that the animation showing. Besides, it also will bring an emotional such as happy, funny, sad or even touched via this animation movement. Watching an animation movie is easy, but creating it is not as easy as we think.
